Our Story Begins in 2023 with a Crazy Idea...
From Wedding Blooms to a Blossoming Business
In 2023, Kalista Adkins, an avid houseplant lover with a green thumb, decided to try her hand at something new—a row of wildflowers along the fence at her home. At the time, she was also deep in the midst of planning her wedding, and as the wildflowers began to flourish, an exciting idea bloomed: "What if I could grow all the flowers for my wedding?"
What started as a simple experiment soon turned into a labor of love. After thousands of seeds, countless hours of research, and meticulous planning, Kalista had transformed a patch of land into a stunning 2,500-square-foot flower garden. By the time her September 2024 wedding arrived, she had an abundance of vibrant blooms ready to make her special day even more unforgettable.
But the joy and fulfillment Kalista found in her growing garden didn’t stop at her wedding. Inspired by the success of her personal project and the beauty that surrounded her, she decided to share her passion with others. In 2024, Flying Flowers Farm was born, a place where she could bring the same magic of homegrown flowers to her community, one bouquet at a time.
