Flying Flowers Farm
Spreading Happiness one Flower at a Time
Nestled in Wilmington, Ohio, halfway between Cincinnati and Columbus, Flying Flowers Farm is a charming, family-run flower haven where nature’s beauty blooms. From June to October, we cultivate a colorful tapestry of handpicked flowers, each one a vibrant expression of the changing seasons. While our growing season depends on the whims of weather, we make it our mission to create fresh, breathtaking bouquets every week. These floral treasures are available for sale at our cozy farm stand, just at the end of our driveway—where every bloom tells a story and every bouquet brings a little more happiness into the world.

Our Story
In 2023, Kalista Adkins, an avid houseplant lover with a green thumb, decided to try her hand at something new—a row of wildflowers along the fence at her home. At the time, she was also deep in the midst of planning her wedding, and as the wildflowers began to flourish, an exciting idea bloomed: "What if I could grow all the flowers for my wedding?"

What started as a simple experiment soon turned into a labor of love. After thousands of seeds, countless hours of research, and meticulous planning, Kalista had transformed a patch of land into a stunning 2,500-square-foot flower garden. By the time her September 2024 wedding arrived, she had an abundance of vibrant blooms ready to make her special day even more unforgettable.

But the joy and fulfillment Kalista found in her growing garden didn’t stop at her wedding. Inspired by the success of her personal project and the beauty that surrounded her, she decided to share her passion with others. In 2024, Flying Flowers Farm was born, a place where she could bring the same magic of homegrown flowers to her community, one bouquet at a time.

The Story Behind The Name: Flying Flowers Farm

The name Flying Flowers Farm carries more than just a sense of whimsy—it’s a tribute to a beloved family member. In 2023, after the passing of her grandmother, when going through her grandparents' belongings, Kalista's mother came across a check marked "Flying Flower Farm." It was a simple discovery, yet it felt like a sign—one that connected the past to the present in a way that felt both serendipitous and meaningful.

Kalista had recently purchased her grandparents' home, and as she tended to the same land her grandmother once cherished and had many gardens of her own, she found herself drawn to the idea of continuing that legacy. Her grandmother had always nurtured a love for flowers, and now, Kalista was growing her own blossoms on the very land her grandmother had called home. The name Flying Flowers Farm seemed like the perfect way to honor that enduring love of nature—and to keep the spirit of her grandmother alive with every bloom.
